TATTOO AFTERCARE
Good ink deserves good care.
Your tattoo is more than a piece of art. It is a healing wound that needs
proper care while your skin recovers. Follow these instructions to help
your tattoo heal cleanly and keep your artwork looking its best.
FIRST HOURS
Take Care of Your New Tattoo
When you leave the studio, your tattoo may look bright, red or slightly
swollen. This is normal during the early stages of healing.
Keep the tattoo protected according to the instructions given by your
artist. Do not remove the covering earlier than advised.
Always wash your hands before touching your tattoo.
THE HEALING PROCESS
How to Care for Your Tattoo
Wash Gently
Once you have been instructed to remove the covering, gently wash
the tattoo with clean hands and mild soap. Do not scrub the area.
Rinse gently and pat the tattoo dry with a clean paper towel.
Avoid rubbing the skin.
Keep It Moisturised
Apply a thin layer of the recommended tattoo aftercare product.
Your skin should feel comfortable, not heavily coated.
Too much product can prevent the skin from breathing properly.
Do Not Scratch or Pick
As your tattoo heals, the skin may become dry, itchy or flaky.
This is a normal part of the healing process.
Do not scratch, peel or pick at the tattoo. Allow the skin to
heal naturally.
Keep It Away From Water
Avoid swimming pools, rivers, lakes, hot tubs and soaking the
tattoo while it is healing.
Normal showers are generally fine, but avoid prolonged exposure
to water and do not scrub the tattoo.
Protect It From the Sun
Keep your new tattoo away from direct sunlight while it heals.
Sun exposure can irritate healing skin and affect the appearance
of your tattoo.
Once the tattoo has completely healed, use appropriate sun
protection whenever it is exposed to strong sunlight.
Wear Comfortable Clothing
Avoid tight clothing that constantly rubs against the tattoo.
Give the area enough space to breathe and heal comfortably.

BE PATIENT
Healing Takes Time.
Every person’s skin is different, so tattoos can heal at different rates.
Your tattoo may change in appearance during the healing process before
settling into its final look.
Do not judge the final result while the tattoo is still healing. Give
your skin time to recover and follow the aftercare instructions provided
by your artist.
IMPORTANT
Listen to Your Skin.
Mild redness, tenderness, dryness and peeling can occur during healing.
If you are concerned about how your tattoo is healing, contact
